Parsed (& Partied) Political Process

Debate!
(the rest I needed)
OK, I have some catching up to do,
but will probably not.
(rocking the boat ain't bad,
but not Gilligan's Island)
OK, I was out of touch for the weekend.

As far as the vote and third parties,
I feel that more competition will help the debate.
As long as people realize where their vote will lead.

Triangulation may be the change we can believe in * ,
but not the leader.
My hope is that indepedents from the left or the right, (say Nader and Barr) will be included in the debate, where triangulation is a form of navigation based on principles, but also where practicality hits the road. Give the poor track record of the media, and the bifurcation -(Red and Blue America)- of the internet(unfiltered), expanded participation may better focus the dialogue, but don't forget the green.
[Nader, Barr, and Green?]
[I leave you and Green to search and speak for your selves.]

[*: under Geometry of Purpose: related efforts, links no longer appear, but my point was by contrast to Bill O'Reilly, and definitely not to agree with the parable nor what is still found at American Thinker.]

Donald Trump geometers like a third grader. (^)

Speaking of Self-tense.  OW: Geo-Political Self Tents?
Sub-reference:  Putting perspective in one's own frame.

Not to take my own tangent, but Hillary and Bernie are under pressure from many angles to craft their message so that it matters to the perspective of their critics.  Nothing should take away from the words in this heading.  Trump is another case of geometry at work***, formerly known as triangulation of the third way.

Back to what matters!?  Do they feel the Bern?  The operable "they" being the parties and campaigns, it is good exercise, or in some cases exorcise.

*** culture at work? (see: file this / bridging the law of intended consequences?) **

[As a not so side note: I cannot believe it has been a year since Ferguson. (~)
BTW:  having been on somewhat of a successful sabbatical(correction: hi8us), there is a gap in my coverage as well as my social net.]

Third Time's The Charm

[Finally posted 3-14-11 ]
Three times lucky? Actually I have not been lucky in finding the origin of the first, but I have been several times knocked off course. Just as I wrote this the news was noting the passing of a local law enforcement officer who had three centers of gravity, friends, family and work, so is that the message? "Every cloud has a silver lining" has also recently infiltrated my blog. That is credited roughly to John Milton and Katty Macane.

Numbers may play a big part in superstitions, but they also may play a big part in meanings. Past, present and future is just one case for threes, though not necessarily in that order, and this is not just to play with words. Of course if superstitions play any part in society, they will play a part in words, and words play a part in meanings, but which comes first? Some of this math and meandering came to my attention in regards to politics. Have you heard of the third way? The Clinton Adminstration was the first occasion I became aware of it in a political form, not that I had done the math in regard to other departments. But basically there are the two ends of the political spectrum and then there is the centrist. But is it the people, the target or the answers that are there? Or is it target, people or answers...who knows? However at this time I intend to apply it to the topic of navigation, or at least The Myth of Triangulation and wonder if a silver lining plays into any of this. While it is plane* to see where three plays into many things, it should suffice to read Robert Reich's article yourself as I have now read it twice. But I have yet to revisit the concept of navigation itself or any application of the tetrahedron to other perspectives of improving on our picture.

[On the other hand, in context:
Redistribution has a "from" side (taxation) and a "to" side (spending). On the "from" side, the notion that government should use taxation to increase rather than decrease equality is hardly Marxist. In "The Wealth of Nations," Adam Smith begins his section on taxation with the following maxim: "The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities." To ask otherwise, Smith writes, would be obviously unfair.]

As a Senator his vote against the debt ceiling raise, was an attempt to address the deficit, just as what forced the compromise Reagan made to get his. Meanwhile the people are with President Obama as well as Cenk Uygur.]

The Segue

TryAngulation: in draft
Reservations times three.
[Publish Post: 8:47 AM no link, labels or any more below yet.]
[I have yet to read the "yet" for a third time, which was not my original intent, but as long as I have gone this far holding it in draft, I will. But I have now added the link at bottom which represents the sequence or actual timeline of posting. Still no labels. No duh! Not to mention Frackin' Wisconsin. Speaking of Timing, sometimes you have to be there.]
[It turns out this may actually be a segue which will cycle back to the yet. Meanwhile...]
[See Comment One]

[OK, finally posted, I will follow-up with the Triangulation or Tetrahedron later, meanwhile I need to work on my own segue.]

What politics is about.

Progress for People

Hands Off Connecticut
By Scott Galindez
t r u t h o u t | Perspective

My Tangent or Triangulation:

Much of what I may leave unsaid may be because if tables were turned I would not say them, but I do not think this is the case. While outside influence on a state's political race interferes with the local voter's intentions, it also flies back out of the state to others who feel that they understand what the party does not.

Until there is a viable third party and a change in primary and general election processes that can eliminate the hazzard that a third party will win it for the wrong side, outside help should focus on the general elections rather than in primaries. And for the dissappointed, there is value in voting for the lesser of two evils, provided that your vote does not put in office the greater.

For the voter in the primary, vote your conscience, it is not throwing a vote away or voting for the other guy. But come the general, things are black and white and you must vote for a viable winner or be satisfied that you will possibly be putting in a loser.
